-
Fees exclude accommodation, travel, and insurance.
6) Financial Principles
-
Community-driven, non-profit event under the SciViD Flagship Series.
-
All fees are used exclusively for essential organizational costs.
-
Equitable policy: the same registration rules apply to all attendees (Chairs, Plenary, Invited, Special Session Organizers, General participants).
-
Any surplus is reinvested into open-science dissemination (e.g., SciViD proceedings).
7) Keynote Support & Honoraria (By Invitation Only)
-
To ensure access to world-class expertise, a limited number of selected keynote speakers may receive funding, which can include reasonable travel and accommodation support and an honorarium.
-
This support is provided by invitation, subject to budget and sponsorship availability, and formalized via individual agreements.
-
The purpose is to bring global leaders to MiBAN to deliver advanced content and masterclasses (e.g., science translation methodologies, industry–academia partnering, IP and commercialization pathways, ethical AI in publishing, and reproducibility via video methods).
-
Important: This provision does not waive the conference’s equitable registration policy; invited/keynote speakers are subject to the same registration categories and fees as other attendees. Financial support (if any) is separate from registration and is funded via earmarked sponsorships/allocated keynote budget, not from participant fee subsidies.
8) Funding Requests (General Participants)
-
MiBAN does not provide travel grants, free accommodation, or other financial aid for general participants.
Please do not send such requests to the Secretariat. -
The Keynote Support & Honoraria clause above is the only exception, strictly by invitation.
