VISA REQUIREMENTS

Obtaining a travel visa is the sole responsibility of participants

If a visa is required to attend the International Conference on Microfluidics for Bio-, Agri- & NanoTech [MiBAN 2026] + Innovation Forum: Ethical Publishing with AI in Brisbane, the organizers will support participants by providing a formal Letter of Invitation. Such letters can be issued by SciViD Publisher Pty Ltd and its Australian partner, the NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute (registered under ABN/ASIC). Invitation letters are available to participants whose abstracts have been accepted or who have completed the registration and payment process.

The invitation letter may be used to support applications for short-term visits to Australia for conferences, study, collaboration, and cultural exchange (up to three months). The most common pathway is the Visitor Visa (subclass 600).

⚠️ Important: The MiBAN 2026 Organizing Committee is not an authority on visa matters and cannot influence, intervene in, or expedite visa applications. Participants are strongly advised to register early, confirm travel plans well in advance, and allow sufficient time for visa processing.

For detailed and official information on Australian visa requirements, please consult the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.

Step-by-Step Visa Guide

  1. Check Requirements – Verify whether you need a visa to enter Australia based on your nationality.

  2. Submit Abstract / Register – An accepted abstract or completed registration is required before an invitation letter can be issued.

  3. Request Invitation Letter – Contact the MiBAN 2026 Secretariat with your accepted abstract or registration details to obtain a formal invitation letter.

  4. Apply for Visa (Subclass 600) – Lodge your visa application online with the Department of Home Affairs. Attach your invitation letter and required supporting documents (passport, proof of funds, travel itinerary, etc.).

  5. Wait for Processing – Visa processing times vary by country. Apply at least 2–3 months before the conference.

  6. Confirm Travel – Once your visa is granted, finalize flights and accommodation in Brisbane.

  7. Attend MiBAN 2026 – Bring your invitation letter, visa grant notice, and travel documents when entering Australia.

LETTER OF INVITATION

If you require a formal Letter of Invitation to obtain a visa or for administrative purposes, there are two options to submit your request:

1) Abstract Submission Route

If you submit an abstract for MiBAN 2026, you may request a Letter of Invitation once your abstract has been formally accepted. A downloadable template will be available through the conference submission system, where you will enter the required details and upload it. A signed formal invitation letter will then be issued by the MiBAN 2026 Secretariat (SciViD Publisher Pty Ltd / NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute) within a few days after acceptance.

If your abstract is not accepted, or if you prefer to participate without presenting, please use the second option below.

2) Registration Route

If you plan to attend the conference without submitting an abstract, you may still request a Letter of Invitation after completing your registration and payment via the official MiBAN 2026 registration portal. During registration, select “Yes” to indicate that you require an invitation letter. A signed invitation letter will be sent to you by the Secretariat within a few days of completed registration.

Invited Speakers (Plenary or Special Sessions): please also provide the title of your talk and your assignment (e.g., Plenary Lecture, Special Session presentation) when requesting your letter.

Format of Invitation Letters

  • Letters of Invitation will be provided in PDF form and sent to the email address you supply.

  • Issuing institutions: SciViD Publisher Pty Ltd and the NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute (registered under ABN/ASIC in Australia).

  • Letters will confirm the purpose of your visit (conference participation, short study, or cultural/scientific exchange of up to 3 months).

Important Notes

  • Invitation letters do not imply any financial commitment on the part of MiBAN 2026. The conference cannot provide travel funding, accommodation, or financial support of any kind.

  • Participants are fully responsible for their own visa application and travel arrangements.

  • The MiBAN 2026 Secretariat will not communicate directly with consulates or embassies on behalf of participants.
