SciViD Video Paper Submission Guidelines — MiBAN 2026
Overview
In addition to traditional written papers, MiBAN 2026 authors are encouraged to submit a companion SciViD video paper. This multimedia format communicates methods and results with visual clarity, strengthens reproducibility, and broadens global accessibility.
What to Submit
-
Manuscript basis:
Begin with a standard manuscript (5–6 pages for full papers or 1–3 pages for short papers), in English, submitted as PDF using the conference templates. -
Video script (recommended):
Include a brief script or storyboard outlining the problem statement, key methods, critical steps, main results, and take-home messages. Indicate any planned animations, schematics, or demonstrations. -
Optional assets:
Figures, lab footage, screen captures, instrument schematics, animations, and data visualizations may be listed with preferred sequence and captions.

POST-CONFERENCE PUBLICATION PATHWAYS — MiBAN 2026
The Organizing Committee, in coordination with the Program Committee, Academic Advisory Board, and Industrial Advisory Board, oversees all publication options following MiBAN 2026. The committees will appoint a Publication Chair to manage timelines, templates, and compliance.
Participation & Presentations
-
All attendees are encouraged to submit an abstract for a 20-minute oral presentation.
-
Non-presenting participants are welcome to attend by registering and paying the conference fee (which helps cover venue hire, catering, banquet, and cultural program).
-
Both presenters and registered non-presenting participants may choose to submit a post-conference manuscript provided it fits scope and meets quality standards.
Outputs Available to All Registered Participants
-
MiBAN 2026 Conference Proceedings (Text-Based)
-
Optional submission of Full Papers (5–6 pages) or Short Papers (1–3 pages) using the official templates.
-
Editorial/peer review for quality, clarity, and relevance; accepted papers appear in the MiBAN 2026 proceedings.
-
-
SciViD Post-Conference Proceedings (Author-Choice Option)
-
Open to any registered participant (presenting or non-presenting) who wishes to publish a full paper.
-
Submissions undergo peer review; accepted papers receive a DOI and can include an optional SciViD Video Science companion to document methods and results visually for transparency and reproducibility.
-
This is not an invite-only track; it is an author-selected pathway designed to maximize visibility and impact.
-
-
Partner-Journal Special Issues (Invite-Only)
-
The committees may coordinate Special Issues with field-relevant journals.
-
Invited authors prepare an extended version (typically ≥25% new content) and undergo the journal’s standard peer review.
-
Final publication decisions rest with the partner journals.
-
Licensing, Ethics & Non-Duplication
-
Authors must follow the licensing terms of each venue and avoid duplicate publication. If submitting related versions to multiple venues (e.g., MiBAN proceedings and a partner journal), ensure substantial new material, cite the earlier version, and obtain permissions where required (especially if a DOI-indexed SciViD version exists).
-
Disclose funding, conflicts of interest, and required ethics approvals; data/code availability statements are encouraged to support reproducibility.
How to Choose Your Path
-
Rapid archival within the event → MiBAN proceedings.
-
Indexed DOI record + optional video for global reach → SciViD proceedings (author-choice).
-
Field-journal audience with extended analysis → Partner-journal Special Issue (invite-only).
Detailed templates, submission portals, and timelines will be provided by the Publication Chair on the conference website.

-
Recorded talks accompanied by an accepted text-based full or short paper will be treated as formally presented and included in the MiBAN 2026 proceedings.
-
Authors may also choose the SciViD post-conference proceedings pathway (peer-reviewed, DOI-assigned, with optional Video Science companion) following the standard author-choice process.
-
Award eligibility: recorded talks are not eligible for Best Paper or Best Student Paper awards.
Important Notes
-
This policy does not apply to plenary or keynote presentations, which are expected to be delivered in person.
-
Detailed upload instructions, file-size limits, and the technical checklist will be posted on the conference website in late 2025.
-
By submitting a recorded talk, authors grant the conference permission for on-site playback and, if applicable, archival for internal QA (no public redistribution without author consent).

Invite speakers beyond conference committees;
-
Increase participation of women researchers, early-career scientists, and underrepresented regions;
-
Balance academia, industry, and government perspectives where appropriate.
Speaker Publication Options
-
SciViD Post-Conference Proceedings (author-choice): Any registered speaker may choose to submit a full paper (5–6 pages) for peer review; accepted papers receive a DOI and may include an optional SciViD Video Science companion.
